The Urgent Global task to expand and Enhance Co-operative Strategies of NGO’s/CSOs and FBOs in Taraba State North – Eastern Nigeria, gave birth to actions that led to founding of GLOBAL HEALTH DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE INITIATIVE (GLOHEDEP) in March, 2003.

Global Health Development and Peace Initiative (GLOHEDEP) is a Youth Led Volunteer and not – for – Profit Organization. Our vision is to encourage and foster through unique research and application of ideas and skills that enhances Local National Regional and Global Health policy, build a multidisciplinary team that battle global issues in health and peace building with overall objective of a two – way knowledge that focus on sustainable human development.

GLOHEDEP Volunteers and its full time staff through active in network and activity are committed to the ideals, vision and aspiration set by the initiative and collective effort of building a healthy and peaceful society where all human beings are secure.

Our concrete mission and goals are:

Ø       Promoting through sharing of experiences and exchanges of knowledge with health professionals on global health and development issues 

Ø       Encouraging surreys on pioneer – new fields and ideas through conferences and workshops, health development and peace initiatives that battles global health issues such as HIV/AIDS, malaria etc.

Ø       Addressing youth, poverty gender and empowerment as integral component of highlighting issues of our times

Ø       Meeting the goals of national, regional and global partnership that facilitate participation in decision making processes, collaboration and open exchange of ideas and projects

Ø       Facilitate strategic government, private sector, donor agency and NGO alliances to achieve there goals.
